Career Readiness Courseware - Applied Math Level 1

Career Readiness Courseware is a self-paced course in which you will develop the foundational workplace skills required for most jobs from entry level to professional. It is made up of three modules: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents. Each module contains a placement test and seven course levels, each with a pretest, instructional content, practice exercises, and posttest. You will automatically be placed in the appropriate level based on your placement test results. Score at least 80 percent on the posttest to earn a badge. Applied Math includes workplace math reasoning and problem-solving skills from basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to multiple math functions like calculating percentage discounts and markups. Learners who have earned the Applied Math Level 1 badge have demonstrated mastery in the following skills: Recognizing basic math symbols Telling time Reading simple meters Recognizing whole number place values Reading and expressing numbers Recognizing place values in money and counting money Reading and writing fractions
