Career Readiness Courseware Certificate Level 5

Jackie Mattingly

Career Readiness Courseware is a self-paced course in which you will develop the foundational workplace skills required for most jobs from entry level to professional. It is made up of three modules: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents. Each module contains a placement test and seven course levels, each with a pretest, instructional content, practice exercises, and posttest. Career Readiness Courseware provides learners with a placement test to identify current readiness levels in each of the modules, and to identify further training and education along their career path. Based on placement test performance, an individual enters the learning module at a level appropriate for their skills and then progresses at their own pace. Learners show mastery of content by passing posttests at the end of each module, earning the certificate of completion. Applied Math includes workplace math reasoning and problem-solving skills from basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to multiple math functions like calculating percentage discounts and markups. Workplace Documents includes reading comprehension and reasoning skills of workplace text including memos, letters, directions, signs, notices, bulletins, policies, and regulations. Graphic Literacy includes comprehension and application of workplace graphics such as charts, graphs, tables, forms, flowcharts, diagrams, floor plans, maps, and instrument gauges. Learners who have earned the Level 5 Certificate have completed Levels 1-5 in Applied Math, Workplace Documents, and Graphic Literacy.
